This web site is great! Thank you for thinking of us and allowing us to share this joy with you. Harrison looks just precious and Dad looks just right holding him...a good fit! Maybe we'll get to see a group photo one of these days?? Hope Mom has a rapid recovery, Dad continues to glow, and Grandma Ro 'comes down'...or at least keeps BP under control. Tried getting Papa Les here for a few days but it seems he prefers playing house the McCauley Culkin way...oh well. Continue to keep us posted and again - many thanks for this site.

Much love,
Ellen & Warren
Pittsburgh, PA

P.S. Happy Birthday Dawn. Always a time to reflect...we were getting married and you were expected momentarily...a very vivid memory...

Well, as a first time Great Uncle, I must say that's the best looking baby I've ever seen on the whole darn Internet! And that encompasses a lot! I will try to forward this page to Great Aunt Pat in Ohio to get her comments...otherwise we'll have to wait until she gets back to Germany this coming Wednesday.

Ah! To be 'peed upon' by one's newborn offspring is the international 'language' of good luck, good health, and . . . good aim. Kudos to little Harrison! The detailed diary updates are fantastic! Thanks again for keeping us posted and for making us part of this joy.

Dear Harrison

Don't worry about your circumcision. I also had one at your age and turned out just fine. The only side effects of having it at such a young age is that you won't be able to walk for about 18 months.

Hang in there buddy.

Ross

Harrison, this is your Uncle Joe from New Jersey (it is sort of like Africa here). I am so excited to have you on board this wonderful merry-go-round we call life!! Even though your mum and dada are a bit nuts I know you made the right choice and you'll be in great hands. I like that you have started on the good bubbly from a young age, maybe we can figure out how to get it from the tap from mum instead of that flat milk stuff! About the circumcision, it has its pluses and minuses. Sure it hurts a bit for awhile but look on the bright side. Sixteen years from now none of the local girls will ever call you the headless horseman, plus in my case it was great for weight loss. I lost 2 pounds (almost a kilo) instantly when they lopped mine off. I'll keep in touch and will have to drop in to check on you soon.

Hello Doug and Dawn:

Sitting at Craw's with Big Mike and Craw and found your site on the Web! Hope everything is well with you in SA. I have returned from a nine-month around-the-world trip with my wife Sue in Feb/97 and am now the CFO at American Disposal Services in Burr Ridge, IL (NASDAQ:ADSI). It's a garbage industry consolidator. Well gotta run but send an update to me if you get a chance.

Hello Doug, Dawn & Harrison:

Sorry we haven't written lately but things have been a little crazy around here. The Ontario teachers have been on an illegal strike for about two weeks now. We are scrambling to be sure one of us is at home with the boys. I certainly hope they go back to teaching soon.

This Website is a great way to communicate. I think we've talked more in the past month than in the last ten years or so. We heard (by e-mail) from Bob in Texas a few weeks ago. And I guess your sister, Sue, is patiently (!) awaiting her little bundle in mid-December. You can imagine how happy we were to hear her good news. It would be really great to see the new babies when you visit around the end of this December, and who knows if one of the Jordan's will throw a mini-reunion? Hopefully you won't be too busy.

Take care,
Your Cousin Gark, Maureen & Boys

Dear Doug, Dawn and Harrison:

Now that Harrison is a big boy of some 10 weeks, you will be looking forward to meeting Father Xmas very soon. We hope you get lots of nice pressies and can play with them on Christmas morning. Perhaps that will be in USA so this is an early message in case you do leave Johannesburg prior to Christmas. We only just realised there was a lot of reading in your diary which we have visited. You certainly are a well loved little man and we join with all your Aunts and Uncles in welcoming you to your first Xmas. Don' t eat too much turkey this time! Have a happy family time wherever you may be for Christmas.

With love from,
Uncle Keith and Aunty Vel in Australia

I just curious who gave you the right to mutilate your son's foreskin? It is an extremely important part of the penis, and the ritual you participated in a barbaric and senseless. God does not want to collect foreskins; Jews and Muslims and doctors who performs such non-essential surgery violate the oath of their profession. Parents do not have the right to brand, to tattoo, to remove parts of their children's bodies for the "fun" of it. There is no reason for this surgical procedure in our culture. In fact, women are discovering more and more that intercourse with an uncircumcised man is more preferable than with the alternative. It's just plain ignorance that drives this barbarity. It has almost been eliminated, even for many Jews, in England, and certainly throughout Europe. I feel very very sorry for your blase indifference and gleeful mutilation of your son!
