Dear Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Nephews & Nieces, cousin Celeste,
friends and well-wishers:

From Doug (December 27, 1997):

Dawn, Harrison and I are at the Blaine's house. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL of our friends!

We hope all of you had a great Christmas and are enjoying the weekend. Harrison is a great kid but he seems to have stomach problems (a milk intolerance) so he now gets soya milk. Unfortunately, soya does not come with low iron which does not agree with him either so it is a no-win situation.

We hope to get past this stage any day now and will rest when he gets there.

It is snowing this morning in Staten Island so it now
feels like Christmas.

We go to Detroit (I go) on Monday morning (Dec. 29) to see Dad, Mike and Sue and Celeste. Dawn arrives on a Wednesday AM flight with Harrison. (He seems to be racking up the frequent flying miles).

I think there is a rendevous planned with my Canadian cousins in Sarnia, Ontario. We appreciate all their kind words and support for Harrison as well as sister Sue's new baby girl: Celeste. So we
look forward to seeing them and letting Harrison visit his new cousin too.

We had a dinner/drinks at Chris Franke's house with neighbors and Matt Franke and Colleen. Their baby is cute.

Again, we wish all of our friends and relatives a safe and happy Holiday season. Our next e-mail and pictures will come once we're safely back in S.A. in 1998.

Love from us all. Happy New Year!
